Björn Kühne
Biography
Björn Kühne currently works as Chief of Cabinet to the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and crisis in Georgia. He has worked at the intersection of the EU and crisis response and conflict resolution issues for more than 15 years, first in the Balkans and then in the South Caucasus, including as Chief of Staff of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, Head of Cabinet and Senior Political Adviser with the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe and with the OSCE and ODIHR in the Balkans in different capacities, notably with the OSCE Presence in Albania and various election observation missions.
Björn holds a masters degree in political science from the Free University of Berlin and a bachelors degree in international relations from the University of Kent in Canterbury. A specialist in South Eastern and Eastern Europe, he has written numerous articles on the region for academic and non-academic publications.
